Biography
Guy Phoenix is Managing Director of Complete Cyber Security, the cyber security brand of Fresh Mango Technologies. He is responsible for the direction of the business across all three territories it serves — the United Kingdom, the British Virgin Islands and the United States — and for the commercial model that puts enterprise-grade security controls within reach of businesses with five to a few hundred staff.
His day-to-day work is unusual for a managing director in this sector: he still sits in the initial security review with owner-managers. That is deliberate. Most SME security decisions are commercial decisions wearing technical clothing — whether to certify, what an insurer will accept, which control genuinely reduces the chance of a ransomware outage against which merely adds cost. Guy's role is to make that trade-off explicit, in language a finance director can act on, before any engineer is involved.
He built Fresh Mango Technologies' service model around a market that larger providers structurally under-serve. National MSSPs price and contract for enterprises; local IT companies keep systems running but rarely operate a security function. Guy's position is that smaller organisations need the same core capabilities — detection and response, certification, testing, staff training — sized, priced and explained for their scale, with named people accountable for the outcome.
He has also driven the group's expansion between the UK and the Caribbean, giving it an operating footprint across two time zones and direct experience of the BVI's financial-services regulatory environment alongside UK schemes such as Cyber Essentials. He is based between the UK, BVI and the USA.
