Every engagement starts with a measured baseline, not an assumption

The numbers on this page exist because we measure before we start: a baseline phishing click rate, a time-to-patch figure, a timed restore test, a gap assessment against the Cyber Essentials controls. That baseline is what makes improvement provable to your board, your insurer and your customers.

FAQ

Questions about our case studies

How we report results, what we withhold, and what a comparable engagement would look like for your business.

Why are your case studies anonymised?

+

Our client agreements include confidentiality terms, and for security work in particular, publishing which controls a named business does or does not have would itself create risk. Every case study on this page describes a real engagement: the sector, approximate headcount, location, services delivered, timescales and measured results are accurate, and the figures come from the engagement records. What we withhold is the client name and any detail specific enough to identify them. Where a prospective client needs a reference, we arrange a direct conversation with an existing client in a comparable sector, with that client's consent.

How representative are these results of a typical engagement?

+

They are typical for the specific starting position described in each case. A first unannounced phishing simulation landing above 30% is common in UK SMEs, and single-figure click rates after six months of monthly training are the normal outcome rather than an exceptional one. Cyber Essentials timelines of four to six weeks assume remediation work is needed; businesses already running managed patching, MFA and EDR certify faster. What varies most is the starting point, which is why every engagement begins with an assessment that establishes a measured baseline before any work is quoted.

Do you work with businesses outside Yorkshire?

+

Yes. Our UK head office is in Ripon, North Yorkshire, and a significant share of clients are in Yorkshire, which is reflected in these case studies. We also have an office in Road Town, Tortola, and support clients across the British Virgin Islands and the United States. Managed services — SOC monitoring, EDR, email security, vulnerability management and awareness training — are delivered remotely and are not location-dependent. On-site work, such as Cyber Essentials Plus audit support and incident response, is delivered in person in Yorkshire and the wider UK, and from the Tortola office in the BVI.

How do I find out what an engagement would cost for my business?

+

Book a free 30-minute cyber security review. We ask about your headcount, systems, current controls and what is driving the requirement — a customer demand, an insurance renewal, a tender, or an incident. That conversation is enough to tell you which services are relevant and give an indicative monthly figure. Where the scope is less clear, a paid cyber security assessment produces a costed remediation roadmap you can act on with us or with anyone else. There is no obligation attached to the review and no sales call sequence afterwards.
